Chefmate 12 cup coffee maker

I purchased a 12 cup chefmate coffee maker and it quit working in less than a week. I took it back (Target) and got a replacement without hassles and the 2nd one gave out in less than a week. I'm also taking that one back and see what happens. Remember when things were made in America and didn't break down?

The first time i bought this Chefmate 12 Cup Coffee Maker was over a year ago, then one day it just stopped brewing. so I bought the exact same one. Within a week the same problem, it stopped brewing.. What a waste, they should just take it off the shelves!!!

Had this product for 2 months and one day notta..it just stopped brewing..I mean 2 months..we only use it once every 3 days to make tea....bad bad deal..DO NOT BUY!!!

I had this coffemaker about a month before it stopped working. Turned it over to find an electrical wire had melted through the plastic base. Thank God the counter was granite or we may have been looking at the ashes of our home! Needless to say, I won't be buying any Chefmate products ever! TT

Best value coffee maker we've ever owned. Paid $9 at Target 4 YEARS AGO and finally stopped keeping warm. Soooo... found them for $7 on sale at Target and bought two!. AMAZINGLY well made.. easy to clean...and we have it ON day and nite!!... two pots a day (coffee) and constant hot water. What a GREAT bargain !

DON'T BUY THIS!! NOT WORTH IT

I bought one of these at Target for like $12. I know you get what you pay for but this didn't work the THIRD TIME I tried to use it. Holy moly. I had discarded the box and receipt so I figured I'd just cut my losses and buy a new one. I grabbed the same model thinking it couldn't happen twice... but before I could get it to the register some little Russian lady chased me down and exclaimed, "Don't buy this coffee maker!" She said she and her husband had bought the same one three times and all three times it broke after a couple of uses or a couple of weeks. I put it back on the shelf and splurged for a $20 coffeemaker instead. I kept the receipt on this one. Stay tuned...

Bought mine from Target at a 'reasonable' (vs. phenomenally low) price, using a Target gift card. It DIED after only 3 weeks, 2 brews a day. I'll see if Target will exchange it! Thanks for the advice. (And I could have purchased a genuine Mr.Coffee one block around the corner from where I live for less!!!!)
