Both clock and timer are easily programmed. Because everyone likes their coffee at a different temperature, Cuisinart made the carafe warmer so that it can be set to low, medium, or high. Brewing is fast, finished in less than a minute per cup. For small households or individuals, there is a setting for 1 to 4 cups of coffee. To let you know when brewing is completed the unit will beep 5 times. Parts are easy to clean as they are top rack dishwasher safe. You can also improve the water quality for brewing with the water filter system integrated into the unit. Expect it to last a long time as it comes with a 3 year warranty.
