This is a very dependable machine that is easy to clean and maintain. Using non-oily 100% Arabica beans will help to lengthen the life of the machine. Using oily beans causes clogging and could make for rancid flavors in your brew while also shortening the life-span of your machine. Recommend you clean the brew mechanism weekly by snapping it out and running under hot water. Using spring or distilled water will keep foreign flavors out of your coffee. When the machine recommends de-calcifying you shouldn't hold off but de-calcify then.
