Expired Camp Coffee

Question:

I have been using Camp coffee for years to make a delicious coffee cake that my family loved. Now the children have grown up and gone I rarely bake.

However consider my horror when I got out my bottle of coffee to find I should have discarded it after 28 days I have kept it for months in between uses. Will it do us any harm to use the coffee after the 28 days after opening.

Answer:
You shouldn't have any health issues from using expired coffee. However, the flavor will have deteriorated and it may not taste nearly as good as it should. It is up to you if you don't mind less flavor in your coffee cakes.
