Summary: Reviews were mixed on the static, some stating that it was low in static, while others stated that the static was a major problem area. Another area of mixed reviews was the grinding settings. Many people stated that it needed to be calibrated before it would grind at the setting chosen. Once calibrated it seemed to work properly. You can get it calibrated by downloading instructions from the Baratza website. Same with the noise. Reviews were mixed, some stating it was very low in noise while others said that it was very loud. Refurbished models all had the same problem, they were smelly from the previous use. Mixed reactions on customer service from horrible to great. Seems to depend on where you purchased this product.
